Government Broadband and Ultra Broadband

Infratel Italia S.p.A., a company under the direction and coordination of Invitalia, serves as the implementing body for the Italian Government’s Broadband and Ultra-Broadband Plans. Operating under the Ministry of Economic Development, Infratel manages the National Federated Information System for Infrastructure (SINFI) a centralized platform designed to store and organize all data related to technological infrastructure across the country, both underground and above ground.

The SINFI system plays a crucial role in accelerating the deployment of ultra-broadband networks while minimizing installation costs by providing a comprehensive and accessible infrastructure map.

Laboratori Guglielmo Marconi actively collaborates with Infratel in developing the operational framework for SINFI, contributing its expertise in digital mapping, infrastructure analysis, and IT systems integration.
